The Nyack Homeless Project (NHP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) grass roots, nonsectarian volunteer group that encourages children, teens, adults and their communities to directly make a difference by aiding those in need during the cold days of winter.
It is our aim to collect food and NEW warm clothing to distribute, and as a result, teach our young volunteers the importance of giving back.

Through our leadership and collaboration with other community partners, we provide help and create hope, working to affirm each person’s dignity “as made in the image of God” and to achieve a more just and compassion society.
Our compassionate and professional staff assists people of all ages, races and religion in Rockland County. They are knowledgeable, empathetic and able to converse with our clients in English, Spanish, French and Creole.

Helping Hands provides hot and cold food, clothing, and hygiene supplies & services, and advocates for its constituents by connecting them with providers of housing, medical, mental health, addiction, and immigration services.
Helping Hands values the establishment of a safe haven, the creation of a kind and caring atmosphere, and the restoration of dignity lost.
The organization works in consortium with like-minded organizations, local and state governments, houses of worship, and the private sector to solve complex problems for its constituents.
